QUB Cardiac Research Conference 2026

PCRNI joined the QUB Cardiac Research Group (CRG) and their partners at the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Network (NICRN) for a day exploring the latest developments in heart health, research and care. 

Everyone was welcomed whether they were living with a heart condition, supporting someone with a heart condition, or simply interested in heart health. 

We heard about the latest heart health research and developments in heart care. We met with other researchers, health professionals and patients and shared experiences. We heard from people living with heart conditions, including a panel discussion on supporting people with heart failure in the community. We learned about cardiac rehabilitation and the latest advice on supporting heart health. We learned about clinical research in Northern Ireland, including how research can be made more accessible and how patients can get involved. We heard how patients are making a difference to research and learned some more about patient involvement. 

The day included talks, panel discussions, opportunities to meet others, and time to view research posters and chat over refreshments.
